We are thrilled to present Anna-Kate “AK” Herron, one of our Captains and an Honorable Mention 2022 VHSAA Player of the Year, as a 2023 VHSAA All-Conference Player.  

AK is the first ever unanimous selection to the VHSAA All Conference First Team in any sport. An honor that is well deserved.

Anna-Kate’s well-rounded skill set has been a game-changer for us. Her service game has been nothing short of remarkable, her impressive Service Quality Rating (SQR) of 2.0 underscores her precision and consistency. Furthermore, her exceptional setting skills have set the stage for our hitters to shine. She delivered 318 assists this season, running a 6-2 offense, creating scoring opportunities, and elevating our entire offense’s performance. Her versatility was evident in her tenacity in pursuit of the ball, leading the team with 208 digs, and her ability to contribute effectively on offense with 43 kills.

In summary, Anna-Kate Herron’s season has been marked by her standout service game, consistent setting, efficient offensive contributions, strong defensive play, and her well-rounded abilities on the court. We wholeheartedly agree with her All-Conference First Team honor and believe she is an invaluable asset to our team’s success.

Her standout service game is showcased by her precision and consistency with a Service Quality Rating (SQR) of 2.1, which has consistently created significant advantages for our team.

As a two-time captain, she exemplifies exceptional leadership and sets a positive example for her teammates. Her unwavering dedication to the sport is further underscored by her remarkable recovery from a torn ACL in 2021, showcasing her resilience and commitment.

Eden has been a significant offensive force while playing both outside and middle positions. Eden’s unwavering positivity and team-oriented approach to the game made her a compelling candidate for All-Conference recognition, and we wholeheartedly endorse her for this well-deserved honor.
